About Sauna Bath House

A house built around two saunas.

A 95°C dry sauna, a competition-grade Aufguss sauna, a cold plunge, two ice showers and a hot magnesium pool, one minute from Raffles Place MRT.

Sauna Bath House  /  About

Built around the heat

Most places in the city keep a sauna in the corner of a gym. We built the whole house around two of them, in the basement of Singapore Land Tower at 50 Raffles Place, a minute from the MRT. The saunas are the point; the hot pool, the plunge and the ice showers are there to complete the ritual around them.

The two rooms

Two saunas, two jobs.

The dry performance sauna is pinned at 95°C and never run cold: traditional dry heat over an electric heater and stones, in untreated Estonian timber, with room for around forty guests. The Aufguss sauna sits at an 85°C base and is humidity-capable, built to Aufguss.it specification for the ritual: a cooler base because the steam infusions and towel work push the felt heat far above the reading on the dial.

The circuit

Heat, then cold, then warm, then repeat. Ten to twenty minutes in a sauna, a cool-down and water between rounds, then the 6–8°C cold plunge or one of the two 6–8°C ice showers, and the 41–42°C hot magnesium pool when you want the warm end of it. Most people do one to three rounds and leave somewhere between an hour and two hours later.

Aufguss

Aufguss is a German and Austrian sauna tradition: an Aufgussmeister works aromatic steam through the room with a towel, in rounds, to a rhythm. We run it daily, and our own Aufguss school trains here, founded with Aufguss World Championship medallists. More on the Aufguss sauna →

How a visit works

Swimwear and towels are provided, so you can arrive with nothing. It is one shared bath house: swimwear on, everyone bathes together, with no gender-separated areas. Showers, shower kit, hairdryers and lockers are all here, and the cafe pours matcha and cold brew for the walk back out. See the space →

Sauna Bath House and House Longevity

We share a building with House Longevity, our sister recovery house upstairs, which runs hyperbaric oxygen and red light therapy. The heat and cold are ours; the chamber and the panels are theirs. House Longevity ↗
